Safety Information

  • This medication should be used with caution in pregnant or nursing animals. May cause tooth discoloration in young animals. Monitor for gastrointestinal upset and discontinue if severe reactions occur. Not effective against viral or fungal infections.

Warnings 

  • Complete a full antibiotic course to prevent resistance. Do not give with antacids or iron supplements. Let your veterinarian know if your dog or cat is taking any other medications.

Human Warnings

  • This medication is also used in human medicine but in different formulations and dosages. Do not take medication prescribed for your pet.
