Sharing Our Story

Most of our pets’ chronic conditions are medically treatable.

So, why are so many pets still suffering with them?

At Dutch, we go beyond symptom relief and get to the root of our pets’ underserved conditions, treating them holistically for health and happiness that lasts.

We treat pets medically.

Medical problems call for medical solutions. Our plans are built alongside board-certified behaviorists and dermatologists who combine medication, therapeutics, and training exercises for scientifically proven relief.

We don’t keep you waiting.

We know what it’s like to go weeks between appointments, that’s why Dutch vets respond within 24 hours and proactively check in on their patients’ progress.

We deliver to you.

Every treatment plan arrives at your home each month— no more going to a pharmacy to pick up prescriptions.

Founded by experts in telemedicine and veterinary science.

Former Hims co-founder Joe Spector and Dr. Brian Evans, founder of Coastal Animal Hospital, share a passion for bringing life-changing care to animals across the country.

They realized the gap between suffering pets and high-quality, specialized care was far too wide. Dutch was founded to provide our pets with modern telemedicine—treatments rooted in science delivered monthly with ongoing support from trusted vets. After all, every pet should be able to access what it needs to live its happiest and healthiest life.

I’m excited to help more cats and dogs be less fearful and anxious than I could ever reach as a solo practitioner through collaboration, consultation and education. With fewer than 100 DACVBs in North America, and not every veterinary student graduating with a behavioral clinical rotation or course, there is a well published need for increased access to veterinary support for behavior problems. Dutch Pet is hoping to fill at least part of this care gap for our fur friends.

I have spent my life trying to improve the quality of life for pets and strengthen the human-animal bond. In recent years, we have all realized the comfort and joy our animal companions provide. I believe that Dutch will allow me to expand the reach of this work in areas where access to quality care is a barrier to pets’ happiness and wellness.

Behavioral medicine is my passion, having devoted my life to helping animals who suffer with emotional disorders. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough veterinary behaviorists to serve the population who are in need. I am excited to be able to help bring those pets the first step treatment that they need.
