Safety Information

  • Mirtazapine should not be given to pets who are allergic to it or who are taking certain medications like monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).1
  • Use caution in pets with kidney or liver disease.
  • Regular follow-ups may be needed to adjust dosage based on response.

Warnings 

  • Only use under veterinary supervision—accidental overdose can be serious.1
  • Side effects can be more severe in cats and dose should be adjusted if they occur.
