What is NexGard Combo for Cats - 3 months?

NexGard Combo for Cats is the first and only broad-spectrum parasiticide (parasite killer) for cats that:

  • Kills fleas and ticks
  • Prevents heartworm disease
  • Treats and controls roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms 

No other flea & tick medication for cats treats and controls hookworms and tapeworms. 

This monthly topical flea & tick medication is easy to apply and safe for kittens 8 weeks of age or older, weighing 1.8 lbs or greater.

Apply NexGard Combo for Cats once a month to the skin on the midline of the neck according to the directions in the package.

What are the active ingredients of NexGard Combo for Cats?

The active ingredients of NexGard Combo for Cats are esafoxolaner, eprinomectin, and praziquantel 

What are the possible side effects of NexGard Combo for Cats?

NexGard Combo has very few side effects when the drug is given a the usual dose. The following side effects have been reported: vomiting, application site hair changes, anorexia (loss of appetite), lethargy, itching, sneezing, bacterial skin infection, diarrhea, hypersalivation, hyperthermia, and application site redness. Use with caution in cats with a history of seizures. Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian. 

There are no documented drug interactions with this medication. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. Use with caution in cats with a history of seizures. Use with caution in cats that are heartworm positive. The safety of Nexgard Combo Topical solution has not been established in breeding, pregnant, or lactating cats, or kittens less than 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 1.8 lbs.
