Sertraline is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class. It is used to treat behavior problems including aggression, anxiety-related behaviors, and other obsessive compulsive behaviors in dogs and cats. Medications alone may not solve behavioral problems and are may be combined with behavioral modification techniques recommended by your veterinarian or animal behaviorist.

Safety Information
Suddenly stopping sertraline can put your pet into withdrawal. If you need to discontinue use, work with your vet to gradually wean your pet off the medication.1
