What is Zymox Otic with Hydrocortisone?

Zymox Otic with Hydrocortisone effectively treats acute and chronic outer ear infections (otitis externa) in dogs and cats due to bacterial, fungal, and yeast infections in a soothing, non-toxic formula. It contains three active enzymes that have shown to be antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral. This three-point enzyme system destroys antibiotic-resistant microorganisms, including Staphylococcus. The addition of 1% hydrocortisone helps to provide relief from itching and inflammation. Zymox Otic with Hydrocortisone acts as both a cleaner and a treatment, in just one application daily. It’s ideal for pets who swim and those who live in moist or hot environments.

Common symptoms that Zymox Otic with Hydrocortisone treats include:

  • Itching of ears
  • Redness and inflammation
  • Pawing at ears
  • Head shaking
  • Rubbing ears on objects

How is Zymox Otic with Hydrocortisone given?

Shake well before use. Apply liberally to uncleaned ear filling ear canal. Gently massage and work into infected area. Wipe away excess. Apply for 7 days, 14 days for chronic infections. Safe for extended use on persistent cases.

 

Note: Do not clean ear before or during use. Do not use in conjunction with other topical ear medications or cleaners, or allow water in or near ear during use. If condition persists or worsens, discontinue use. Store at room temperature.
