Generally well-tolerated by most animals. Pets with existing constipation should not receive this medication. Animals allergic to sucralfate should avoid it. Regular monitoring isn't typically needed, though veterinarians may recommend check-ups based on the underlying condition being treated.3
Warnings
Watch for blood in vomit or stool, which could indicate worsening ulcers requiring immediate veterinary attention. Overdoses are rarely serious but should still prompt veterinary consultation.3
