But how do I spot allergies?

They’re more than just the springtime sniffles— knowing the symptoms is the first step in treating them.
  • Itching (by far the most common sign)
  • Red or inflamed skin
  • Ear infection
  • Excessive grooming or licking
  • Runny discharge from the eyes or nose
  • Digestive issues (vomiting, diarrhea, etc.)
Myth: Pets born with allergies are stuck with them
Myth: Itching is completely harmless
Myth: My pet is too old to develop allergies
Myth: It's normal to have several skin infections per year
Myth: I don't see fleas, so it can't be a flea allergy

Our allergy solutions go beyond the symptoms.

Most remedies make a runny nose or pesky itch go away without addressing the underlying allergen. Our plans combine medication and over-the-counter therapeutics to relieve symptoms, repair skin, and stop future infection.

Symptom Relief

Delivering relief to our pets is our top priority. It is important that we first provide symptom relief using medications and therapeutics that get to work immediately addressing acute symptoms.
Start noticing a difference in as early as 4-6 weeks.

Skin Repair

Beyond immediate symptom relief, our focus turns to skin repair. The skin is very important in preventing allergic reactions in our pets. When the skin barrier function is denigrated, allergens are able to penetrate and cause reactions and infections. Through medication and topical therapeutics, we are able to regenerate the skin barrier.

Long-Term Prevention

The final step is a focus on long-term prevention. Pets that have previously had allergic reactions are susceptible to future reactions. It is important to remember that maintenance of the skin barrier function will go a long way in protecting your pet against future infections. Utilizing consistent treatments will allow your pets to live a carefree life.

I have spent my life trying to improve the quality of life for pets and strengthen the human-animal bond. In recent years, we have all realized the comfort and joy our animal companions provide. I believe that Dutch will allow me to expand the reach of this work in areas where access to quality care is a barrier to pets’ happiness and wellness.
