Simplicef is a prescription medication designed to combat a variety of bacterial infections in dogs. This broad-spectrum antibiotic effectively treats infections of the skin, soft tissue, urinary tract, and more. The scored tablets are coated and odorless so they’re easy to give to your dog.

What does Simplicef treat?

  • Bacterial skin infections, including wounds and abscesses
  • Bladder infections
  • Respiratory infections

How is Simplicef given?

Give Simplicef tablets orally, with or without food, following the instructions from your veterinarian.

What are the active ingredients of Simplicef?

Cefpodoxime proxetil

What are the possible side effects of Simplicef?

The most common side effects of Simplicef are vomiting, diarrhea, increased thirst, and decreased appetite. Simplicef should not be used in dogs with known allergy to cefpodoxime or to the ß-lactam (penicillins and cephalosporins) group of antibiotics.
