Clomicalm is a tricyclic antidepressant (clomipramine) used to treat separation anxiety in dogs. It helps minimize destructive and negative behaviors like vocalization (excessive barking), inappropriate urination and defecation, and moodiness caused by anxiety. It is not a tranquilizer or a sedative, and should not affect your dog's personality or memory.

Give tablets orally once or twice a day as directed by your veterinarian. To reduce the chance of vomiting, give with a small amount of food.

What are the possible side effects of Clomicalm?
The most common side effects include vomiting, lethargy, diarrhea, excessive thirst, and decreased appetite. If you’re concerned about any side effects, talk to your vet. If you suspect your dog is having an adverse reaction, seek immediate medical help
Be sure to tell your vet about any medications, vitamins, or supplements that your pet is taking, or if your vet has a history of seizures.

Safety Information
Only for dogs 6 months of age and older. Requires comprehensive physical examination and behavioral assessment before starting treatment. Should be used with caution in dogs with cardiovascular disease, liver disease, or seizure history. Regular monitoring may be needed during treatment.1
Warnings
Do not use in male breeding dogs due to the risk of testicular problems. Cannot be used with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or in dogs with seizure history. Clomicalm may interact with other medications metabolized by the liver. Should be discontinued before elective surgery when possible.1
Human Warnings
Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children. Seek immediate medical attention if accidentally ingested by humans, especially children.1
