What is trazodone?

This fast-acting medication can take effect in as little as 2 hours and stays effective for a relatively short time. This makes it an ideal medication for treating acute anxiety caused by stressful situations (such as going to the vet or flying) as well as noises (such as fireworks or thunder), phobias, and other problems that need temporary relief.
