Who Are We?

Dutch launched in July 2021 and was inspired by our founder and CEO Joe Spector's experience with pets. Seeing for himself that dogs can suffer from anxiety, Spector realized there was an opportunity to create a form of accessible vet care for pets in the same way telemedicine supports human health.

• Oldest patient was 18 years old: Our oldest cat and dog we treated were eighteen years old, which is fairly common for small breeds. Dutch is proud to help pets of all ages get the care they need, from puppies that need healthy diets to senior dogs who need help with mobility. 
• Most popular dog breed was the pit bull terrier: Dutch-affiliated vets help dog breeds of all kinds, ranging from small to large, to help treat specific conditions. 
• Most popular cat breed was the domestic shorthair: Domestic shorthair cats are some of the most popular cat breeds in the world, but we can help any cat live a longer, healthier, less stressful life. 

We also discovered that the most popular cat name of the patients we saw in the last year was Luna, while the most popular dog name was Bella. 

How Does Dutch Work?

Dutch is a subscription-based service that allows pet parents unlimited access to licensed veterinarians. Once you choose your subscription type, you can schedule a video chat with a vet to begin getting veterinary care for your pet from the comfort of your own home. 

After the preliminary conversation, a vet will provide you with an individualized treatment plan based on your dog's or cat's needs and medical history. If your pet's plan includes prescription medication, your vet will prescribe the medication and add it to your cart to verify that you are in a state that allows telehealth prescriptions. Prescriptions will ship free to your home.

Once you begin your treatment plan, you'll receive follow-ups and pet care moving forward. So whether your dog or cat is still struggling with a condition or you have more concerns about your pet, a Dutch vet is always here to help. 

Signing up for a Dutch subscription is easy; all you have to do is answer a few questions about your pet and choose a subscription plan.
